This is required. You will not be able to obtain a student photo ID card until you complete the Check-in process. You only need to report on one of the dates and times listed above. Bring your passport, Form I-20 or Form DS-2019, I-94 card, and all previous immigration documents if you are a transfer student from another U.S. educational institution. If you have dependents with you in the U.S., bring all of their immigration documents as well. The exact date(s) to apply will be announced when you report to us.
If you arrive after these dates, please report to Room 136 in Schleman Hall starting Saturday, January 10th, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or beginning January 12th , between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Bring the same documentation as listed above. Late arrival is discouraged, as you will miss orientation.
TRANSFER STUDENTS PLEASE NOTE: If you are transferring from another educational institution in the U.S. to Purdue, you must notify your current institution before you depart that you will be attending Purdue for the spring semester. This will allow the other institution to release you from the government's SEVIS database and for our office to access your SEVIS record and issue you a transfer I-20 or DS-2019. You must bring all your previous and current immigration documents to the Pre-Orientation Check-in as part of the transfer process.
