You (and your family, if they travel with you to campus) will be required to carry health insurance while you are a student at Purdue.  U.S. federal law specifically requires minimum health insurance coverage for all J-1 students and their J-2 dependents.

All international students must contact the Purdue Health Insurance office to provide proof of insurance coverage. Once you have purchased insurance online from Student Resources, please send an email to the following address (student-insurance@purdue.edu) so an insurance waiver can be issued, or phone them at 765-496-3998. Please include your first and last name so they can confirm your insurance coverage.
