- Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Educational Exchange Program?
The Educational Exchange Program (EEP) is a program offered through the Office of International Students and Scholar's (ISS) GO (Global Outreach) Purdue! initiative. The program seeks to help provide international understanding to the Lafayette Community by bringing Purdue University international students into classrooms to share insight into their home culture and community.
Who are the Speakers for EEP?
Most of our speakers are international students. Purdue University has one of the largest international student populations in the country with over 5,000 students from 126 countries world wide. International students are sophisticated young adults, natives of other countries with unique cultures very different from our own. Because of their abilities, hard work, and, perhaps, station in life, they are a small, privileged group who have the opportunity to travel abroad and study in the United States.
Although the reason students are here is academic, they are also eager to learn more about the American culture and many want to share their knowledge and pride about their home country. Much of what we know about other cultures has come from reading, from the movies and from TV, so many of us do not have an accurate picture of the other cultures. Of course there is no better way to obtain a real view of another culture than by having an inside view!
How do I book a Program?
